Airsoft Rifles Key to Collection- by MrAirsoft Blog-MrAirsoft .com

Airsoft rifles are the key firearm for any airsoft gun collection. Airsoft rifles can be powered by either one of two ways, through the most common spring loaded action, or electronically through several batteries.
The spring loaded airsoft rifle is a one shot with cockback gun that shoots a plastic airsoft bb at a high velocity. The spring loaded airsoft rifle is more powerful than the airsoft pistol, and can compete in the power level of a one shot airsoft shotgun. The electronically powered airsoft rifle is not as powerful as the spring loaded rifle, but it can shoot out several bb’s at a high velocity with one cockback. The power of the electronic airsoft rifle is in the same mid level range of an airsoft pistol, and at the relative same level as the lower end airsoft shotgun.
The price range of an airsoft rifle is from under a hundred dollars for the basic entry level gun, to in the higher up of a hundred dollars for the more sophisticated powerful airsoft rifle. The quality typically goes up in direct correlation with the price, so don’t shy away from an airsoft rifle simply because of the higher price tag when compared to the pistol.

Airsoft M14 – Tips and Deals on Airsoft M14s- Snipsly

Generally speaking, Airsoft m14s fall into three different categories, which are defined by how the guns are designed and operate. The more complicated the inner mechanisms that fire the guns, usually the more expensive they become. The first category we will examine is the Automatic Electric Airsoft m14 or what is commonly referred to as the AEG. These electric guns are arguably the most popular guns among veteran Airsoft players. They have given the sport its greatest appeal and are singularly responsible for its explosive growth around the world. The AEG has an electric motor that is powered by an onboard battery. The motor turns the gears inside the gun, which in turn causes a piston to compress and release. The piston creates a blast of air that propels a 6mm plastic BB through the barrel of the gun. This fully automated system gives these guns the exciting rapid-fire feature that makes them so popular. These guns also tend to be the most expensive of the Airsoft m14 family, usually costing around several hundred dollars.

Airsoft Safety- Goggles or Mask? The good airsoft doctor weighs in, sort of...

Not too long ago I came across a video that purported to test the safety of airsoft goggles and masks, answering a question I have had for a while; which is safer, googles or masks, or is there any real difference?  Then I watched the safety video on goggles this self-professed airsoft doctor made.  I watched closely and found something a little misleading.   The good doctor is shooting at close range AND indoors.  I may not be a doctor, but I know something about airsoft battles and under ideal weather conditions   the projectile will drop a degree or two.  Also, depending on how far away your target is from you, and the velocity of the wind, the speed of the airsoft bb will be affected.  So what I want to know is a full face mask safer then goggles or are they the same in safety?  I did not get the answer from the good doctor's misguided, and unrealistic safety test.  Though being an airsoft doctor must be very cool.
